The integration via the RS232 module
In addition to the integration of components based on 4-20mA, a DIN rail module for the integration of RS 232 based measurement technologies is available for the NeoTecMaster.
The advantage of the RS232 protocol is that in contrast to the 4-20mA signal, where the available working range is usually used for the transmission of the measured values in ACTUAL value measuring systems, the RS232 signal also enables the transmission of status and error messages.
The NeoTecMaster is already equipped with an RS232 interface on the main board. If further measurement technology based on this signal type is to be integrated, one RS232 module per device is required. he incoming values can be converted to 4-20mA or defined as an "event" (control of a relay) depending on the measured value and thus enable the control of downstream processes.
