The integration via the 4-20 mA signal
Only the measurement result is transmitted to the master. The DIN rail modules - for analog inputs/outputs (slave), are required for the integration of 4-20 mA based measurement technology. Depending on the type, the modules have up to eight analog inputs and some also have analog outputs.
The measured value can be output as a standard signal or an inverted signal via these outputs. In the case of an inversion, a dosing control is thus possible, for example, which approximates the setpoint. Using the top-hat rail module "potential-free contacts", simple control processes can be mapped (e.g. qualitative control of the softening plant, desalination processes). The use of the NeoTec Slaves 4-20mA allows the integration of up to eight external 4-20 mA measuring signals by means of one module. The scaling of the data range is freely programmable. Via the additional 4-20 mA outputs, the data can be transferred to downstream components in a process-specific manner.
Advantages:
- Inversion of the input signals to the assigned outputs possible (e.g. for concentration-dependent pump control)
- compact design for top hat rail mounting
- when using several modules only one power supply is necessary
- addition of a further module for application integration possible
By using the module "analog inputs/outputs":
- receive up to eight measuring signals via one slave (analog inputs)
- Output of the measured values via 4-20 mA (analog outputs on the respective module)
- The operating range of the signal is freely programmable
- Inversion (reversal) of the measured value for the analog output is possible
- For the Testomat 808 series, the fixed 4-20 mA values have been stored in the software.
- Measured value, status and error messages are transmitted and visualized directly here
